                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED AT 3201,
                   3203, 3207, 3209, 3211, AND 3215 CURTIS
                   STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF CURTIS
                   STREET AT WISDOM STREET AT ELMENDORF STREET,
                   FROM M-1 MANUFACTURING ZONE TO R-2 RESIDENTIAL
                   ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              Tracts of land located at 3201, 3203, 3207, 3209, 3211,
              and 3215 Curtis Street, being on the northwest line of
              Curtis Street at Wisdom Street at Elmendorf Street. 
              Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22, and the south 100 feet of
              lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, block 9, Map of Sherman
              Park, as shown by plat of record in plat book 4, page
              30, R.O.H.C.; being the properties described in deed
              book 1200, page 234, R.O.H.C., deed book C, volume 18,
              page 422, R.O.H.C., deed book 2757, page 500, R.O.H.C.,
              deed book 1234, page 50, R.O.H.C., deed book 2693, page
              733, R.O.H.C., and deed book 3795, page 591, R.O.H.C. 
              Tax Map No. 128P-A-2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8.
             
         from M-1 Manufacturing Zone to R-2 Residential Zone.
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
